The Lifespan TR 1200i may be a folding treadmill, but in our eyes this is as good as any full size treadmills and can give you just as good of a workout. A lot of the folding treadmills we review are great for power walking, but not durable enough for running. This treadmill however, is ideal for running making it the perfect piece of equipment for increasing your fitness.

This treadmill received the highest accolades from our reviewers, but it is also one of the pricier models, so may not be ideal for those on a budget. This is really worth the extra money if you are a runner. If you try and run on the cheaper models you will be shaking all over the place. With this treadmill you will barely feel any movement at all.

The treadmill is very quiet, even when you are running. It is also easy to adjust the speed and incline from the handlebars, which is a nice feature. Although the console itself is very easy to use and easy to read. Many reviewers agreed that whilst some consoles were overly complicated, this was just about perfect.

We all really like the design of this treadmill. It is a lot sleeker than some other models and is rather pleasing to look at.

Weslo Cadence G-40 Treadmill

If you want to invest in your health and fitness, but are on a budget, than the Weslo Cadence G-40 Treadmill could be for you. Despite being one of the cheapest models on the market, our reviewers have found it to be well-built, durable and sturdy.

One thing or reviewers all raved about with this treadmill is how quiet it is. The last thing you want is the roar of a motor whilst you are trying to exercise, but with the Weslo Cadence G-40 you don’t have to worry about that.

It also has a wider walking belt than some other models giving you a bit more space to manouvere, although some reviewers have commented that the foot rails at the side of the belt (the bit you jump onto if you need a break) is a bit too narrow. We don’t all have tiny feet you know!

Some people have found that the handrails are in an annoying position. You may find if you swing your arms a lot as you walk that you knock your elbows on the rail. One reviewer added some foam padding to hers.

It is a good idea to place the treadmill on a treadmill mat to prevent scratching your floor.

In conclusion if you are on a limited budget, but still want a compact and durable treadmill than this could be the model for you.

Horizon Evolve SG Compact Treadmill

The Horizon Evolve SG Compact Treadmill is one of the most popular on the market and for good reason. It is great value for money and can easily fit into most rooms in your house, but has the durability and effectiveness of much larger models.

Sure it doesn’t have all the bells and whistles of some of the treadmills you may find at your local gym, but do you really need all that stuff? This treadmill can get you sweating and since I use it in the comfort of my own home I look forward to my workouts a lot more than when I had to drag myself to the gym. I can listen to the music I want without headphones, or watch TV.

This is a folding treadmill so if you need to you can fold it up and put it away, but it is not something you would want to do every day. It is a bit cumbersome for that, so I leave mine out and ready to use. It is far less hassle that way. I have only folded it up when I hosted a party and needed all the space I could get.

I have used this treadmill for running, but I am more of a power walker and I think that is what the Horizon is best suited to. If you run every day you may prefer something a bit bigger. But when I am feeling that energetic is does the job. I have dropped 3 dress sizes since purchasing this 3 months ago and using it 4 days a week, so that is what power walking can do.

The treadmill has a built in heart rate monitor which I don’t rely on too heavily, but when I have used it, it seemed to do the job and allowed me to get into my “fat burning zone”.

The speakers inbuilt in this machine really aren’t worth using. They sound cheap and it is far better to switch the radio or TV on. Since you are in your own house you may as well make the most of it. My only other complaint is that the power cord could be a bit longer. I had to use an extension to get mine to reach the power point, but you may be closer than I am.

Oh and if you do invest in this machine be sure to follow instructions and let it run for an hour before using it.
